2005 Syrah Merlot
A Short Description
The "Perfect Pair" label on the Coturri/Feingold 2005 Syrah Merlot desribes the equal portions of Syrah and Merlot grapes paired up to make an exquisitely drinkable wine. It not only has the strength and body of Merlot from the Sonoma Mountain organic grapes, it has been softened to the palate by the Syrah. The other "Perfect Pair is grape grower Stan Feingold and winemaker Tony Coturri. Ripe and uniform CCOF certified organic wine grapes are delivered to Coturri Winery at harvest, and then Tony works his magic without adding sulphites or any other additives or chemicals to the wine making process. Stan doesn't have any idea of how he does it, but, Voila! we have the 2005 Syrah Merlot.
